Attitude is so important.

We wanted to highlight that adults (parents and coaches) can help youngsters learn how to "deal" with losing. On that front, there is a lot we can do. Then they hear from their coaches, parents, family that they lost! So the kids begin to wander about losing is not good!!??

Winning must be an attitude of fair play, dedication, teamplay, respect, admiration, gratitude, pride, perseverance, commitment, concentration, ....
.
If we adults would give the kids only a score on these qualities instead of attention to the final score of the match, the kids would find attitude more important then the match score ...
Even when those kids would become young adults and they would compete in major tournaments they now what is important because having a great attitude will enhance all the components of their toolbox and skills (technique, tactic, psychical factors, psychological factors,...)Walterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01521167473701563416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4604789631767937491.post-27099305681837571712011-10-06T14:26:49.340-04:002011-10-06T14:26:49.340-04:00Sports can be a huge self-esteem booster. Above all, sports teach us how to play on a team. It ultimately makes the coach look bad and detracts from team energy. Pure merit-based competition motivates athletes to do what it takes to push the team to the next level.Craig Siglhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02259056588844658233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4604789631767937491.post-67410196359954225992011-04-04T16:35:55.267-04:002011-04-04T16:35:55.267-04:00Thanks for the recommendations.
